Internship - Maccabiah 20th Israel

The 20th Maccabiah Internship Program is the first long-term program designed for young adults who are interested in having a unique experience in Israel.

The main goal of this program is to give our participant the opportunity to be a part of the creation of the 20th Maccabiah, the 3rd largest international sporting event in the world, and the largest touring event in Israel. We also would like to enrich the different aspects of living as a Jew and as a Zionist, enhance their roots, as well as overcoming any difficulties and demands that this may entail.

The Maccabi Internship Program is a unique program that includes living in Tel Aviv and experiencing the amazing life there, Ulpan - Hebrew Lessons so you will learn how to communicate in Hebrew, a University course at The College of Management Academic Studies in Rishon Letzion, and interning at the 20th Maccabiah.

The Maccabiah, often referred as the Jewish Olympics, is taking place July 2017. The 20th Maccabiah / Maccabiah 2017 is going to be the biggest, and probably the most successful of all Maccabiahs - a saga which started in 1932. During July 4-18 2017, the largest international Jewish-Zionist event will host about 10,000 athletes and 22,000 additional fans from more than 80 countries in a festival of Sports, Jewish continuity and connection to the Center of the Jewish People, the State of Israel.

On March 1, 2017 you will start your first day as an intern for the 20th Maccabiah, and you will be working between 30 and 40 hours a week It is important to say that getting closer to the beginning of the Maccabiah and during the Games you will work much more than 40 hours. The headquarters of the Maccabiah is at Kfar Hamaccabiah in Ramat Gan, and you will be working there. Depending on your position, you will be traveling to the different facilities of the Maccabiah. You will be treated just as any regular employee, and we ensure that you get the proper training and hands-on experience in the field of your preference.

During your 4.5 months as an intern you will gain incredible career experience in a top organization and much much more! Internships are the most effective way to gain relevant knowledge, skills, and experience while establishing important connections in the field. Our internships make candidates more competitive in the job market.

Think of it this way: as an employer, who will give you the most value for your money – a recent graduate with little or no experience, or one with at least one solid internship on their resume?
