Executive Director's Update

Dear Maccabi USA Family,

We hope everyone had a joyous Passover holiday. It has been a very busy time for all of us at Maccabi USA. Our 20th Maccabiah USA Organizing Committee has been hard at work appointing coaches and recruiting athletes. Please encourage any Jewish athletes you know to visit our website and apply for the World Maccabiah Games in Israel in July, 2017.

On April 20we held our 20^th Maccabiah Launch Gala in Manhattan, where 400 alumni, friends and supporters gathered to celebrate Maccabi USA and honor our President, Ron Carner. The event was a great success, raising almost $400,000 towards our Scholarship Fund. Make sure to view our tribute video to Ron, by clicking this link.

Many of our leadership will be joining me and other members of our staff at the Maccabi World Union Plenum later this month in Israel. This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about how the international Maccabi Movement operates and prepares for the Maccabiah Games. Maccabi USA's leadership, along with Maccabi Young Leadership, will take part in the Maccabi World Union Plenum in Israel from May 19-24. For more information and to join us in Israel, please contact Jed Margolis. To be a part of the Maccabi Young Leadership Global Seminar, click HERE!

Join us on June 6 for the Dolph Schayes Memorial Golf Tournament at Woodcrest Country Club in Cherry Hill, NJ. Click HERE to register as a Golfer or make a contribution! The Tournament's Steering Committee Co-Chairs are Bob Spivak & Marc Zumoff, and the Tournament Directors are Bruce Apple, Larry Burns & KC Isdaner.

Maccabi Canada is hosting the Maccabi Sports Experience at Camp Northland in Haliburton, Ontario from July 27-August 17, for those in Grades 5-9. The camp offers an enhanced sports program, including Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Soccer and Tennis. For more information and to register, follow this link (prices in Canadian dollars).

The 2016 Chicago Golf Tournament will take place on August 8 at Skokie Country Club in Glencoe, IL. Click HERE for more information.

Save the Date for the 12^th Annual Westchester Brunch & Bridge/Canasta/Mah Jongg Event, which will take place in Westchester, NY, on Sunday, September 25.
